The same sunburst
Click-to-zoom rings of every folder and file. If you liked DaisyDisk's map, you'll feel at home in seconds.
DriveScape is a cross-platform DaisyDisk alternative — the same interactive disk sunburst on Mac, Windows and Linux, plus the cleanup DaisyDisk leaves out. $8 once, no subscription.
$8 once · Mac, Windows & Linux · 100% local
DaisyDisk does one thing beautifully: it draws your Mac's disk as a sunburst so you can see what's big. DriveScape keeps exactly that — the same click-to-zoom map — and goes two steps further. It runs on Mac, Windows and Linux, and once you've spotted the bloat it helps you clean it: real duplicates, developer junk (node_modules, Docker, build caches), caches and big old files, sorted safe / review / risky. Same lovely map — more places, more cleanup, $8 once.

Mac, Windows and Linux — one $8 license covers all of them.
A real duplicate finder, developer junk (node_modules, Docker, build caches), caches and big old files — sorted safe / review / risky.
Scans on your machine and uploads nothing. No account, no cloud.
Here's a Mac-specific trap: on APFS — the filesystem every modern Mac uses — copying a file often creates a clone. It looks like two files, Finder counts the size twice, but on disk the data is stored once. A naive duplicate finder will proudly report gigabytes of “duplicates” that free exactly nothing when you delete them. DriveScape's duplicate finder is APFS-clone-aware: it tells real, space-consuming duplicates apart from clones, so the number it promises is the number you actually get back. If you've ever cleaned “ten gigabytes of duplicates” and watched the free-space bar not move, this is why. And whatever the finder proposes goes to the Trash first — a wrong call is an undo, not a loss.
Few of us live on one machine any more. A MacBook for work, a Windows desktop or gaming PC at home, maybe a Linux box humming in a closet — and each one fills up in its own way. DaisyDisk can only ever help with the first. DriveScape is the same tool with the same map on all three, so the reflexes you build on one machine carry over to the rest — and one $8 license covers every machine you own. The developer cleanup travels with you too: it knows what node_modules is, what a Docker image really costs you, and which build caches will simply regenerate — on every one of those machines. The free part travels as well: scanning, the sunburst and the big-file lists cost nothing on any OS.
Both draw your disk as a sunburst. Here's what each one is.
If you want DaisyDisk's sunburst beyond just Mac — or you want cleanup built in — DriveScape is the closest match: the same disk map on Mac, Windows and Linux, plus duplicate and developer-junk cleanup, for $8 once.
Not from DaisyDisk — it's Mac-only. DriveScape brings the sunburst to Windows and Linux too, with one $8 license covering every platform.
Scanning and the sunburst are free. The cleanup actions unlock with Pro — $8 once, all your devices, no subscription.
Honestly — if you're happy with DaisyDisk on a single Mac, it's a lovely app and there's no urgent reason to switch. You'd move for the things it doesn't try to do: Windows and Linux coverage, a real duplicate finder, developer-junk and cache cleanup. Scanning is free, so the cheapest answer is to run both and see which one earns its spot.
Free to scan. $8 once to clean. Every device.
