End-User License Agreement
DriveScape is a one-time US$8 app made by BrickLogic, a one-person business in Ukraine. Buy it once and activate it on every machine you own or control, for personal or business use, forever. After you pay, we email you an activation code that works offline - keep it private. The app needs no account and sends no telemetry; it never sends your files, file names, or scan results anywhere. Its only network calls are an update check, a launch-time licence revocation check (fail-open: offline, the app keeps working), and bug reports you choose to send. Payment, tax, and invoicing are handled by Paddle.com ("Paddle"), acting as the Merchant of Record. Since you get the download instantly, the usual cooling-off period ends once we send your code - but our Refund Policy is deliberately generous. This is the full agreement; the plain-language summary above is just a summary.
1. Acceptance and the parties
This End-User License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you ("you", the user) and BrickLogic, a sole proprietorship (in Ukraine, an individual entrepreneur) run by a single developer ("BrickLogic", "we", "us"). BrickLogic is the licensor of the DriveScape software application (the "App").
By downloading, installing, activating, or using the App, you accept this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
2. Licence grant
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and your one-time purchase, BrickLogic grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal licence to install and use the App.
- All your machines. One purchase activates the App on every machine that you own or control.
- Personal or business use. You may use the App for your own personal purposes or for your business work.
- Perpetual. The licence does not expire, subject to the Termination section below.
All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by BrickLogic.
3. Your activation code
After your purchase, BrickLogic sends you an offline activation code by email. This code unlocks the App on your machines without any account or login. Its cryptographic signature is verified on your device, so activation works offline. On launch, the App additionally asks our server whether the code has been revoked (which happens after a refund). This check is fail-open: if you are offline or our server is unreachable, the App keeps working normally - only a confirmed revocation disables a code.
Your activation code is personal to you. Keep it private. A code that is shared, resold, published, or otherwise abused may be deactivated, and continued misuse may end your licence under the Termination section below.
4. What you may not do
You may not, and you may not permit anyone else to:
- resell, redistribute, rent, lease, lend, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the App or your activation code;
- remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices in the App;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, or attempt to derive its source code, except to the limited extent that mandatory applicable law (for example, for interoperability) expressly permits and cannot be waived by contract.
5. Updates
Your licence covers the current major version of the App, together with minor updates and bug fixes we release for it. A future major version may be offered as a separate purchase. We are not obligated to provide any particular update or to maintain any version indefinitely.
6. Privacy by design
The App is built to keep your data on your device. It needs no account and no login, sends no telemetry, and never transmits your files, file names, folder structure, or scan results anywhere - what you scan stays on your machine. The App's only network calls are an update check (app version and operating system only), the launch-time licence revocation check described in Section 3, and bug reports you choose to send from inside the App (these are published on our public issue tracker; an optional reply email is kept private).
For the complete list of what is sent and what we store, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Purchases, payment, and refunds
DriveScape is a one-time purchase of US$8. Checkout, payment processing, VAT/sales tax, and invoicing are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd - or Paddle.com Inc. for US customers - ("Paddle"), acting as the Merchant of Record - your card statement will show PADDLE.NET*. Your payment and billing details are collected and processed by Paddle, not by BrickLogic, and are also subject to Paddle's buyer terms.
The App is a digital download delivered instantly. At checkout you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that your statutory right of withdrawal or "cooling-off" ends once your activation code is sent.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy - a deliberately generous 14-day promise - and are processed by Paddle back to your original payment method. Nothing in this Agreement removes any refund or other right you may have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
8. Intellectual property
The App, its source code, and all related materials are owned by BrickLogic and are protected by copyright and other laws. The "DriveScape" name and the sunburst mark are trademarks of BrickLogic. This Agreement grants you a licence to use the App; it does not transfer any ownership or trademark rights to you.
9. Disclaimer of warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. You use the App, including its cleanup and deletion features, at your own risk, and you are responsible for keeping backups of your data. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing here affects the statutory guarantees you may have as a consumer.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BrickLogic's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App or this Agreement is limited to the amount you actually paid for your licence (US$8). To the extent permitted by law, BrickLogic is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or business.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any mandatory consumer rights.
11. Termination
This Agreement and your licence end automatically if you materially breach it - for example, by reselling the App, abusing your activation code, or violating the restrictions in the "What you may not do" section. On termination you must stop using the App and remove it from your machines. Sections that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimer of warranty, limitation of liability, and governing law) continue to apply.
12. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. This does not deprive you of any protection you are entitled to under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
