Privacy Policy
The short version: the DriveScape app collects nothing. It runs entirely on your device - no account, no login, no telemetry, no analytics - and it never uploads your files, file names, folder structure, or scan results anywhere. The only place we handle any data about you is the website and your purchase, and we keep that to the bare minimum needed to sell you a licence and email you your activation code.
What the app does NOT collect or transmit
DriveScape is a disk-space analyzer that scans your drive, draws a sunburst map, and finds duplicates and developer junk. All of that work happens locally, on your computer. We designed it to be private by default.
The app does not:
- require an account, sign-up, or login of any kind;
- send telemetry, usage statistics, crash pings, or analytics events;
- transmit your files, file contents, file names, folder names, or folder structure;
- transmit your scan results, duplicate lists, or cleanup actions;
- track you across sessions or build a profile about you;
- contain advertising or third-party trackers.
Your activation code is verified offline - the app does not need to call home to confirm your licence. In short: what you scan stays on your machine, and we never see it.
The website
This website (where you read about DriveScape and buy a licence) is separate from the app. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies and does not track you across other sites. If we ever add analytics, we will only use a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool that stores no personal data - and we will update this page before we do.
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider also keeps standard, short-lived server request logs (for example IP address, browser type, and the page requested) to keep the site running and protect it from abuse. These logs are not used to identify you and are rotated or deleted after a short period.
Purchases
When you buy DriveScape, the checkout and payment are handled by Paddle, acting as our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes the payment and billing details you enter at checkout (such as your name, email, billing address, and card or payment information) and handles VAT/sales tax and invoicing. BrickLogic never sees or stores your full payment details.
From your purchase, BrickLogic receives only what is needed to deliver and support your licence - typically your email address and an order reference. You can read how Paddle handles your data in their privacy policy.
We use your email address only to:
- send you your activation code after purchase;
- send (via Paddle) your receipt or invoice;
- reply to you if you contact us for support.
We do not add you to a marketing list and do not send promotional email without your explicit opt-in.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and Ukrainian data-protection law), you have rights over the limited personal data we hold - which is essentially your email address and order reference. You can ask us to:
- confirm what data we hold about you and get a copy of it (access);
- correct it if it is wrong (rectification);
- delete it (erasure);
- restrict or object to certain processing, or ask for it in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, email us (see below) and we will respond within a reasonable time and within any period required by law. Because payment data lives with Paddle, requests about your billing details may need to go to them directly. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Data retention
We keep your email address and order reference for as long as needed to support your licence and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, then delete or anonymize it. Website analytics (if any) hold no personal data, and server logs are kept only for a short period. The app retains nothing on our side because it never sends us anything.
Children
DriveScape is a tool for managing disk space and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time - for example if we change our analytics tool or payment provider. When we do, we will update the date below. If a change is significant, we will make a reasonable effort to highlight it. Continued use of the app or website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
Who is responsible & contact
The data controller for this website and your purchase is BrickLogic, a sole proprietorship (individual entrepreneur) based in Ukraine, the maker of DriveScape.
The only way to reach us is by email at support@bricklogic.dev - there is no contact form. For the full legal terms of using DriveScape, see our License (EULA) and Terms.
